Another story told by retired police Lascañas to the media as he narrated linkage of Davao City to be the den of top ranking drug lords in the country. A huge claim that stirs speculation overall.

According to him, big time drug lords enjoyed the luxury of security in Davao. This is due to the fact that they are under the protection of the powerful mayor on that time; Rodrigo Duterte, the now president of the Philippines.
Lascañas, the self-proclaimed handler of the Davao Death Squad, remembered the time when he was on duty as a police. He said that drugs and money circulated in the city discretely yet boldly. Innocent people were being killed and calling it collateral damages in police activities. He also included Police Chief “Bato” Dela Rosa as the one spearheading their operation under the direct order from the mayor.
The first appearance of Lascañas in the senate to appeal as witness was such a huge fail in both sides. Drug lords tend to call him a liar and the Liberal did not believe him. A netizen had noticed the irony on how immediately he became a reliable person when he stood against the president. As he already now gathered the support of the LP on his claim.
Furthermore, a netizen had expressed that Lascañas had no evidence to provide at all. And if the senate continues to acknowledge his baseless stories, it would truly slow them down. Seeing that they are only focused on impeaching the president and not on supporting his advocate for a better country. The president had layout a lot of plans for the improvement of the Philippines but this people could not move on at all.
