MUSEO DABAWENYO AT PEOPLE'S PARK, SOON | DAVAO PLACES

The Museo Dabawenyo located currently at Pichon Street, Davao City, has an approved plan to transfer its location inside the People's Park. The said museum will have a dedicated budget for its construction and will be initiated soon.

To those who have not yet visited the museum, it is where that you may find a variety of art collections, handicrafts, instruments and ancient weapons used by early Dabawenyos of the time.
The place also showcased a gallery of different clothing inspired by the differing culture of the people.

The Museo Dabawenyo was first opened to the public during the 71st Araw ng Dabaw  in 2008. This was established by the City Government of Davao and through the initiative of the City Council starting from the year 2006. The project had its full support by its mayor who is then now the President of the Philippines: Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.
