The long-awaited passage from Davao to Samal and vice versa has now being given an assurance on having its construction to begin this year 2017.
According to the Secretary of Budget and Management of the Philippines; Sec. Benjamin Diokno delivered a message of guarantee to Dabawenyos and tourists who continually support the wondrous adventure in Samal Island and urban exploration in the city of Davao that the construction of the long-planned bridge will begin this 2017.
For locals, this will be a less hassle to travel thru instead of embarking to the usual barge. Expenses will be lessen and the traffic of business opportunity in Samal will surely have its economic rise.
However, there were no official news yet on the architectural design and materials to be put up on the bridge. One thing is for sure; the bridge will go along with the LRT plan of the president that will also have its railway up to Samal.
Chinese investors will be the huge participant behind this project as they offered the support and investment of this proposal before hand.
