BEHIND BARS men and women were being given a huge opportunity to pursue their dream of finishing collegiate studies.

Out of 320 interested prisoners, a total of 70 (35 men and 35 women) passed the entrance exam for the educational benefit at the University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP).

The program will offer several components like basic education, vocational training, life skills development, and substance abuse intervention with weekly sessions of Celebrate Recovery steps.

USEP teachers will travel to Ma-a jail to teach course there, instead of the inmates going to the campus. The classes will be conducted on the two-storey building that was built inside Davao City jail which is funded by SEI.

Classes will be on a daily basis. Morning session will be reserved for females and during the afternoon until evening will be for the males.
