Davao Light and Power Corporation is confident to provide the city a sufficient power for use this summer of 2017. This is in contrary to what Dabawenyos had experience last year wherein a single power plant source was only utilized resulting to the recurrent brownouts.
The DLPC have said that they already anticipated a high demand of power beginning this month of April. Furthermore, there will be around seven (7) sources of power to be used in the city. compared to the previous years, there was only one.
The company have said that they could ultimately render the needs of Dabawenyos this summer and the probability to have brownouts is very low.
This is a huge commitment for the city in the field of power industry where historically Davao was among those cities which scampered from scarcity of power.
