Dep-Ed's New Academic Approach in Davao Region

Davao Region will be the first in the country to have the pilot testing of the new educational scheme as provided by the Department of Education. 

This new academic approach has been effectively practiced in USA, Europe, and some other parts of Asia. This scheme is called "Looping". 

Looping is a system wherein students will have the  same teacher from kindergarten to grade 3. Another loop or another team of teachers will be provided starting from grade 4 to grade 6. This way, researchers believe that this will provide an increase of educational impact on students and at the same time the relationship they will have with their teachers. 

The looping scheme will now start this school year of 2017. Pilot testing schools will be;

Davao City = Teodoro Palma Gil Elementary School and Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Sr. Central Elementary School

Tagum City = Mangga Elementary School and Don Ricardo Briz Central Elementary School

Panabo City = Little Pinay Elementary School and Rizal Elementary School

Digos City = Binaton Elementary School and Digos Central Elementary School

Mati City = Francisco Hinayon Elementary School and Sigaboy Central Elementary School

Island Garden City of Samal = Angel Villarica Central Elementary School and Kaputian Central Elementary School

Compostella Valley = Olaycon Integrated School and  Montevista Central Elementary School

Davao Del Norte = Tuganay Elemntary School and Sto. Tomas Central Elementary School

Davao Oriental = Old Macopa Elementary School and Lambajon Central Elementary School
