From January to May this year of 2017, the Davao City Transportation and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) was able to impound an approximately 3,500 vehicle units.
The effective operation was due to joint collaboration of PNP and the LTO on providing assistance to them.
This was also made possible because of the tow trucks that the city have acquired. In spite of that, the CTTMO have shared a slight issue because the towing trucks they have in possession could only lift small type vehicles. Somehow, if they could have a much bigger equipment, they will be able to carry even those bigger vehicles like buses.
The impounded vehicle are delivered to the impounding area at Malagos, Calinan.
Last year's record had reached to over 7,000 of vehicle units.
